1. Up your marketing game
Many people rely on word-of-mouth within the horse owner’s community, and while this can work, by marketing your stable you can immediately begin the conversation instead of waiting for someone else to talk for you.
By showing horse owners how using your stables will revolutionise their lives, new clients will begin flooding in.
Not enough stable owners are using social media to market their stables, or even to create an online presence, which is such a shame because you can use these tools to attract new clients, AND build customer loyalty
Although, this will play into your hands, because you will have less competition on social media platforms...
2. Hold special fun-days
Most stables hold special activity days, and this can be anything from competitions, to children’s activity days.
The most important thing is that you get people visiting your stables, whatever the occasion.
Once people are in your stables, they will see first-hand why your stable is special.
3. Keep your stables attractive
Sometimes all it takes is a fresh lick of paint to transform the appearance of a place.
Of course, a stable is the home to an animal so it isn’t going to be completely pristine, but by keeping the appearance of your property at its best, you will ensure that your clients will be proud of their horse’s stable, and will boast about you to others.
Also, when you have people visiting your stables to attend events (see the second point), if they see somewhere which is aesthetically pleasing, they will naturally be more inclined to enquire about your vacancies.
4. Have a special USP
Have something which makes you stand out from the crowd.
Having a USP (a unique selling point) gives you a reason why you are better than your competition.
This could be your personal expertise, or a certain product or service you offer.
5. Make your stables dog-friendly or kid-friendly
This can really take your stables a warm and friendly environment.
Of course, you will need to take some extra safety precautions, but the community really appreciate the atmosphere of a stable which is all-inclusive.
It will mean that whole families can enjoy the environment you create, which is a major point of interest, especially for the parents of younger horse owners who have to take younger children and family dogs into account when picking a stable.
Implement these 5 tips, and watch your property become a bustling atmosphere filled with horsey people - now who wouldn’t want that?!
